Courses & Club
Our basic kayak course includes 6 sessions, 2 hours each, a total of 12 "sea hours." Each kayak course session is guided by B.C.U certified instructors. We offer a free trial, to let you get the "feel" of this kind of activity. The Basic Course includes:
- Getting familiar with the sea kayak
- Learning paddling techniques
- Safety and rescue rules
- Team work - paddling with a group
- Understanding sea behavior - currents, winds and waves
Kayak Schedule
Courses are held all week Monday thru Saturday, at the Herzliya Marina and Ashdod Marina. In order to participate in a session, a 3 day advance notice must be given (so a kayak could be reserved for you).

The price of the Basic Kayak Course (12 hours) is 950 Israeli Shekels.
The Kayak Club
Terra Santa's Kayak Club allows anyone with a basic knowledge of kayaking (our basic course will suffice) to take part in our regular paddling sessions. Members of the club have the use of the world's best kayaks and paddles: fiberglass sea kayaks by Nigel Dennis Kayaks, and whitewater and surf kayaks by Pyranha, Riot, Jackson, Watertech and Mega. We are proud to use Werner paddles. During paddling sessions the group is usually divided according to skill level, sea conditions, and the interests of the paddlers. Registration for sessions takes place via the reservation system on the web site.
Membership Fees:
- Three months: NIS 1300
- Six months: NIS 2350
- One year: NIS 3900
- Course: NIS 950
Membership fees entitle members to:
- Kayak trips in Israel: We often go on outings along along the Mediterranean coast, the Sea of Galileee, and the Dead Sea. Evenings include a barbeque and general fun.
- Training: The basic kayak course is only the beginning. During paddling sessions we continue to train and improve our skills.
- Whitewater and surf kayaking: We also hold surf and whitewater sessions, conditions permitting.
- Parties and Lectures: We have evenings devoted to hearing the presentations of members who have returned from kayak adventures overseas, or sometimes we just get together for a dance party. The club is like a family. Good friendships develop on the sea, where we all help each other. These friendships continue on dry land.
