Courses & Club

Our basic kayak course includes 6 sessions at 2 hours each, totaling 12 “sea hours.” Each kayak session is conducted by B.C.U. certified instructors. We offer a free trial, to allow newcomers to really get the feel of this type of activity.

The basic course incorporates the following:

Familiarization with the sea kayak
Training and demonstration of paddling techniques
Safety and rescue rules
Understanding/recognizing sea behavior & trends such as currents, winds, and waves

Kayak Schedule

Courses are given Mondays through Saturdays at the Herzliya Marina, Ashdod Marina and Akko. Anyone interested in participating in a session must give at least 3 days advance notice (in order to ensure kayak availability)

Price

The price of the Basic Kayak Course (12 hours) is 950 Israeli Shekels.

The Kayak Club

Terra Santa’s Kayak club allows anyone with a basic knowledge of kayaking (our basic course will suffice) to take part in our regular paddling sessions. Club members have access to the world’s best kayak’s and paddles; these include fiberglass sea kayaks by Nigel Dennis Kayaks, whitewater and surf kayaks by Pyranha, Riot, Jackson, Watertech & Mega, and Werner paddles. During paddling sessions, the group is usually divided according to skill level, sea conditions, and the interests of the paddlers themselves. Registration for sessions is available via the reservation system on our website.

Membership Fees:

Three months: NIS 1300
Six months: NIS 2350
One year: NIS 3900
Course: NIS 950

Kayak trips in Israel

We often go on outings along the Mediterranean Coast, The Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. The trips include a barbeque in the evening and of course plenty of fun!

Training

The basic kayak course is only the beginning. During paddling sessions we continue to train and enhance our skills.

Whitewater and surf kayaking

When conditions permit, we hold thrilling whitewater and surf kayaking sessions.

Social gatherings and Lectures

We organize evenings devoted to presentations given by members who have returned from kayaking adventures overseas and to hearing about their experiences. We also enjoy friendly get-togethers and dance parties on occasion. The club is like a family in which strong friendships develop at sea and continue on dry land. .
